SKYBRIDGE SYNCOPATION
Syncopation (sing-kuh-pey-shuh, noun): v
An interruption of the regular flow of rhythm, caused by placing accents on beats that are normally unaccented.As the regular movement of people and vehicles are visually telegraphed on the face of one of Calgary’s infamous +15 walkways, this interactive installation invites you to break from your normal routine in the city. Check out the rippling luminous composition that resonates as a result of your movement. This urban intervention is a cross-Canada collaboration with artists, architects and engineers from Calgary and Montreal, including CS Design, the marc boutin architectural collaborative, Iregular, EGP Group and SMP Engineering.
