INSTALLATION

TEMPO

The intent for this interactive light installation is to be literally powered by the community. Built on the familiar motion of a handcar, the public is invited to activate a layered architectural video-projection through their physical interaction with the objects in the environment.

The transfer of energy from the participants to their visually enhanced environment is palpable, yet nuanced. The inaugural presentation of this piece included three hand-powered devices and was in collaboration with Brave Berlin who conceived and produced the video-projection.

This installation can be adapted to other custom projection content and environments.

This movement is both reminiscent of work and play as well as referential of industrial and digital eras.
